COSTUME CLASSES
     All AKC registered dachshunds at least six month old are eligible to enter the costume parade with a handler of the dog’s choice.  Fee is $2.00.  Entrants must send completed entry form before closing.

JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP CLASSES
               Novice                 Open

Novice Class—for boys & girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show who are at the time entries close have not won three first place awards with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.
Open Class—for boys & girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show who are at the time entries close have won three first place awards with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.

Notice
Juniors who substitute for the original dog they have entered in the Junior Showmanship classes with dogs that are not entered in one of the offered classes at this show must remit the Junior Showmanship only entry fee with their substitution.

SHOW  HOURS
7:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.  --  CDT TIME
Dogs are not required to be at the show until scheduled time of judging. All dogs not needed for further judging will be excused.

ENTRY  FEES
Fees include the 50¢ AKC Recording Fee and the $3.00 AKC Event Service Fee on the first entry of a dog and a $3.00 AKC Event Service Fee for each additional entry of the same dog in the regular and non-regular recordable single entry classes. (There is no recording fee or event service fee for sweepstakes, futurities, brace/team, multi-dog classes, or special attractions.)
ENTRIES CLOSE at the residence of Sharon Ehr, WEDNESDAY 12:00 P.M. May 27, 2009, after which time entries will not be accepted, canceled. altered or substituted, except as provided for in Chapter 11, Section 6 of the Dog Show Rules.

MAKE CHECKS and Money Orders payable to Dachshund Club of the Great Lakes, (DCGL). (Returned Check Charge $25.00). Cash only accepted as payment of returned check on day of show. THIRD PARTY CHECKS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!  NO FAX ENTRIES ACCEPTED.   ALL ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED ON OFFICIAL AKC ENTRY FORMS. Photocopies of front & back will be accepted only if legible.  MAIL ENTRIES with Fees payable to DCGL: Sharon Ehr, 11812 Seven Pine Dr, Holland MI 49424.  WAIVE SIGNATURE REQUIREMENT ON PRIORITY TYPE MAIL DELIVERIES.ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT SIGNATURE, FEES AND BACK ON ENTRY FORM WITH AGREEMENT. ALL FEES MUST BE PAYABLE IN US FUNDS.

The Sweepstakes is open to Dachshunds 6 months and under 18 months of age on the day of the show. All entries MUST be entered in one of the Regular Classes at this show. Indicate “Sweepstakes” and age division on the regular entry form under Additional Classes. No Champions or professional handlers. Classes same for Dogs and bitches and are not divided by coat.

From the Southeast:  Take I 294 to I 94 North (toward Wisconsin).  Exit at Route 120 West (near Waukegan). Route 120 West to Route 12, Turn Left (South) about 2 1/2 miles to Case Rd. (Watch for John Deere tractor facility on west side of road.) 
Turn Left on Case Rd. proceed approx 1/2 mile.  Facility is on south side of road.
