See http://www.akc.org/pdfs/rulebooks/RREGS3.pdf for complete detail of the rule change.
Fort Dearborn Basset Hound Club, Badgerland Basset Hound Club and their Secretary assume no responsibility for a wrong entry.
Exhibitors are advised to print all unusual words when filling in entry forms. No dog wrongly entered in a class may be transferred to another class after the closing of entries, except as provided for in Chapter 11, Section 6 of the AKC Rules and Regulations. No entry may be changed or canceled unless notice of the change or cancellation is received in writing or by telegram by the Show Secretary named in the premium list to receive entries, prior to the closing date and hour for entries, except that a correction may be made in the sex of a dog. No dog may otherwise be transferred to another class. Owners are responsible for errors in the entry forms, regardless of who may make such error. Entries will not be accepted without proper fees and signatures. Entries must be submitted on approved entry forms with the agreement printed on the reverse side. Photocopies of front & back will be accepted if legible.
As specified in Chapter 12, Section 4 of the AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows, information contained on the entry form is required to be published in the club’s show catalog. This information is also subject to publication in other media.
Entry Fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a Veterinarian or Judge or barred from competition by action of the event’s Show Committee. If because of riots, wars, strikes, civil disturbances, national emergencies, health emergencies and the dictates of law enforcement or of the owner(s) of the grounds and/or facilities or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entry fees will be made. Extreme weather condition, such as, but not limited to, snow storms, hurricanes, lighting, extreme heat, heavy rains, or other circumstances including, but not limited to, the condition of the facilities or grounds and/or the ingress and egress from the grounds, must be considered for the health and safety of the dogs, exhibitors and spectators. The well-being of dogs, exhibitors and spectators is of paramount importance and, in the event it is necessary to cancel or stop the show(s) before completion, no refund of entry fees will be made. In addition, no advanced payment of parking, camping or RV fees will be refunded
Dogs need not be at the show until the scheduled time of judging. Dogs no longer needed for further judging will be excused. This show is unbenched.
All dogs present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercising ring.
The Club, Show Secretary, their Agents, employees, etc. assume no responsibility for injury to children not under the control of their parents or guardians.
Class cash prizes will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before the judging is over, and the Show Secretary’s office advised at once. The Show Secretary and show-giving Club disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging is over.
Note: Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians’ recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations.
Fees include the 50¢ AKC Recording Fee and the $3.00 AKC Event Service Fee on the first entry of a dog and a $3.00 AKC Event Service Fee for each additional entry of the same dog in the regular and non-regular recordable single entry classes. (There is no recording fee or event service fee for sweepstakes, futurities, brace/team, multi-dog classes, or special attractions.)
